Landscape Architect Firm - DHM
Landscape Architect - Lee Petty
Civil and Structural Engineer - Goff Engineering
Lee led the pickleball court design efforts for DHM and the City of Durango, guiding an extensive public process that ultimately placed the courts along the Animas River Trail in Schneider Park. The linear greenway posed challenges with grades and accessibility, but these were carefully addressed, resulting in a design that seamlessly integrated with the natural landscape. As part of the public process, sound analyses were conducted to assess the impact of pickleball noise on the community. Sustainability was also a key focus, with stormwater quality management playing a critical role in the project’s implementation. Peak Land Design can lead complex public process efforts that will bring results.
